Well, too bad, they have finally implemented literally everything they said they would, except for director mode. They supposedly will look into it after release. The quests are now tied together (I think you probably played placeholders) but you can progress ignoring them completely and just grinding for the rewards instead if you're not interested. The hub grows as you progress through the game, new shops open, new NPCs move in, etc, as you do things you cause these changes (but I don't think there are branching paths or anything like that). They also added secondary quest lines such as helping traders grow their business, gang wars and stuff like that. I haven't played much of that yet so I don't know how deep it goes. This is a very useful item in the pet industry, the pet tether, this device allows you to keep the pet pod placed in this machine in a radius so it doesn't run away. The modding API has been expanded even more according to Tiy, but I don't know about that first hand. I don't know, I still have a lot of stuff to see.
